Meetup.com is like Facebook but IRL. We get together with real people in real life.

Our little group (Artists and Scientists get together) attend talks, visit exhibitions and have a coffee afterwards to discuss the finer points before the conversation inevitably stray into less elevated subjects. We are a broad church, from scientists, engineers artists, musicians and mystics, all are welcome.The one thing we have in common is a fascination with how the world works even though we may express it in different ways.

We hardly ever attend major exhibitions but seek out the not so well known and unusual. These smaller events give the opportunity to talk to the presenters about their work. Unlike some other groups ours is completely free.
